Dr Emanuele Facchinetti

Dr. Emanuele Facchinetti is Emanueleresponsible for the business model innovation activities within the Swiss Competence Center for Energy Research in Future Energy Efficient Building and Districts SCCER FEEB&D. He is a Senior Research Fellow of the Lucerne Competence Center for Energy Research within the Lucerne University of Applied Sciences and Arts. His main research interest lies on the role of business model innovation in the energy transition. In particular, his focus is on the understanding of the relation between energy system design and business model development. He works in collaboration with several Swiss utility companies to identify new business opportunities and create suitable business models to foster the market penetration of decentralized multi-energy systems.

Emanuele holds a PhD in Energy obtained from the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology in Lausanne, EPFL. His professional experience has focused on a broad range of projects promoting sustainability across the energy sector in both academia and industry, spanning from scientific research, product and technology development, to business innovation.
