Marilyn Smith, Executive Director of EnAct, has 15+ years experience as a science journalist, editor and communications advisor. She also served three years (2009-12) as Chief Editor at the International Energy Agency (IEA), during which time she became aware of the energy information gap. While thousands of experts worldwide tackle the challenge of transforming energy systems and improving energy access, a large portion of the population relies on energy every minute of every day, without ever giving it much thought. EnAct aims to raise awareness of energy’s vital role in economic and social development, and how personal energy choices ultimately affect the planet.
