Researchers and policy-makers working on issues of domestic energy deprivation may be interested in a new open access paper stemming from the EVALUATE project. The paper, titled ‘A global perspective on domestic energy deprivation: Overcoming the energy poverty–fuel poverty binary’ is co-written by Stefan Bouzarovski and Saska Petrova.
It aims to provide the building blocks of an integrated understanding of fuel and energy poverty, beyond the developed-developing country divide that is common in much of the literature. The authors rely on a combination of insights from energy geographies, social practice theory and systems of provision approaches.
