What is the state of the Earth’s environment?

Our research associate Nora Mzavanadze is part of the authors’ team for the 6th Global Enviroment Oulook (GEO-6) report – a global state of the environment report led by the United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP). She is back from the authors’ meeting at the UNEP headquarters in Nairobi, Kenya, and in this blog post she describes the raison d’être of such a report, explains the GEO process, summarizes the conclusions of the GEO-5 report and discusses the the novelties of the GEO-6 report.
